Interior

Do you have an office or practice that urgently needs an upgrade or are you looking for specific acoustic or practical solutions for your offices?

Home M

This patio home optimises the relationship between interior and exterior. It turns away from its surroundings somewhat and arranges all of its functions around the patio, which ensures that all spaces are optimally lit, without losing any intimacy. Recovery brick was chosen to cover the volume of the structure, a nod towards the farms nearby.

Vier Winden – Sint-Jans-Molenbeek

Sint-Jans-Molenbeek

Located in the centre of the low part of Sint-Jans-Molenbeek, this building screens off the courtyard from the Merchtemsesteenweg, along which the school is located. The aim was to open the building to the public areas and to allow the private areas of the school to connect with it. The courtyard was made visually and physically accessible.

A sports hall was constructed above the existing building, the porch was expanded behind the building and provided with a roof.

The building was given a new exterior and was provided with the technology required to guarantee a healthy interior climate using the principles of “passive construction”.

This is an example building for the Brussels Institute for Environmental Management.

Den Egger Scherpenheuvel

A competition was held the redesign of the foyer of CC Den Egger in Scherpenheuvel. Plan A won the competition. The Den Egger building, a design by Zjef Van Uytsel, was conceived differently from how it later turned out to be used. When the building was only partially used, it gave a somewhat chilly and desolate impression. We found this a disadvantage but also – depending on the situation – an advantage. We added a number of elements to the to the space that could break the space up, improve the acoustics and divide it up. In this way, spaces were created that could vary in ambience from a marketplace to a jazz cafe.
